About the subject

Body is a common subject for the whole school, where we explore different ways to move and use our bodies. We work with dance, play, breath, and massage to become more aware of our bodies and develop both physical and mental strength.

Kirstine Kyhl Andersen

Your teacher

Kirstine Kyhl Andersen

Kirstine is a trained dancer and choreographer from the School For New Dance Development in Amsterdam, graduating in 2004. Throughout her education, she gained experience with various modern dance techniques, improvisation as a tool for creating choreography or as a scenic expression, somatic practices, contact/improvisation, and composition.
Kirstine is an active board member of the associations De Frie Koreografer (The Free Choreographers) and Brancherådet for Scenedans (The Sector Council for Dance) in Denmark. Both organizations work to improve working conditions for dance in Denmark and to ensure exchange and dialogue between artists and between artists and institutions.

Steve Kelly

Steve Kelly

Author, performer, composer, and musician for over 20 years.

He has a great sense of humor, but he also teaches with ambition. As he says, "I'm heading the music class with the ambition of having an absolute blast as a group."

Steve is trained in creative writing from Dartington College of Arts in England. He lives right next to the folk high school, so he’ll also be your neighbor when you move in.
