Building
About the subject
We build Tiny Houses based on sustainable materials. This course has both practical and theoretical components, with a strong emphasis on the practical. In the practical track, we’ll work with design, basic construction principles, and get hands-on experience with tools and safety. Workshop activities mainly take place outdoors.
In the theoretical track, we’ll explore what makes a house sustainable, focusing on sustainable materials and energy solutions, as well as how to source them.
We’ll also examine the sustainable aspects of the lifestyle associated with Tiny House living—a sustainable life for people and the planet. Additionally, we aim to go on one or two day excursions per semester.
This course is open to everyone, especially beginners and those with some experience. In our shared workspace, we will grow and develop together.
